We are still in time where women are super dressed and decorated like Mannequins wonderful, tiratissime and equipped. I’ve talked about this aspect that has characterized the entire 800 when I have made known Worth in this article and then Poiret , but today I want to talk about what has slowly started to change since the middle of this century. Was not that a coincidence that just a woman has made space towards the 800 with his creations, which fully reflected the feelings and desires of women in rebirth. Rosa Genoni in thinking and create her clothing is inspired mainly to Neoclassicism, the canonical forms of art and fashion and principal way to the Renaissance period. According to the philosophy that characterized the entire thought and style of Genoni, design and create dresses with these features meant to safeguard the value of the Italian fashion giving it greater importance and identity.
In the pictures of the clothes that I chose for this article I am sure that you will immediately recognize the distinguishing features of Renaissance painting, for example, the first time I saw the dress Spring (you’ll find it right below) I immediately felt a similarity to one of the most beautiful paintings of Botticelli actually called “Spring.”
It ‘a wonderful thing this comparison, this way of wanting to inspire such an important element in del’arte story! I find it is really a strong feature of Genoni and it’s wonderful look to the past, to our history to make manifest what WE want to convey. That wonderful woman, would be a perfect Bigogirl!!
Once again then we can find a strong link between art-history-fashion, this means that to create something that is really important value and especially to be recognized, must have great culture, knowledge and passion for what you do. Now that may be the key to success!
